We primarily purchase logs from private forest owners and the Forests of the Slovak Republic. Our buyer personally assesses the quality of each individual log and selects only those that can be turned into honest, high-quality joinery timber. We place great emphasis on careful selection because we believe that premium timber begins in the forest — already at the planting stage.

Deciduous wood species

OAK

our top woody species. It has a unique color with beautiful patterns, exceptional hardness and extreme resistance to external conditions. It is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. It is used, for example, to make barrels, rustic floors, stairs and solid furniture.

BEECH

Hard and strong, easily flexible wood with a fine structure. In joinery, it is used to make furniture, stairs, worktops and floors. By steaming beech, we achieve sometimes a blood-red hue, which increases the price of the wood.

ASH

Durable and flexible wood with distinctive grain. Ideal for making furniture that is exposed to stress. It is also used to make shovel handles and axe handles, as well as sports equipment. It is a durable woody species with an elegant appearance, the core of which is very sought after.

JAVOR HORSKÝ

Tvrdé, vzácne a svetlé drevo, Výborne sa hodí na výrobu nábytku, schodísk a pracovných držiakov. Taktiež sa používa aj na výrobu hudobných nástrojov, napríklad huslí či klavírov.

WALNUT

Exkluzívne drevo s tmavým odtieňom a výraznou kresbou. Využíva sa na luxusný nábytok, interiérové detaily a dyhy. Ponúkame parený aj neparený orech.

ČEREŠŇA

Ušľachtilé drevo s jemnou štruktúrou a teplým červenohnedým tónom, ktorý časom stmavne. Čerešňa je obľúbená pri výrobe luxusného dizajnového nábytku. Dobre sa s ňou pracuje, nie je príliš tvrdá, dobre pruží a neodštiepuje sa.

ALDER

Alder is a wood that looks soft. It has a light, slightly honey color. It gives the material lightness and elegance. It is soft, easy to work with. Alder is great for fine joinery projects, decorative cladding, furniture or artistic products.

LIME

Lime is a light, soft, easy to work with wood. Ideal for the craftsman who values the finesse and purity of the material. Suitable for carving, art projects, musical instruments, decorative cladding and furniture where a sensitive approach to detail is required. It radiates a warm atmosphere directly in the interior.

FALSE ACACIA

An exceptional wood species that has a typical yellow-sand color. It is the most durable wood species suitable for exterior use. It has high resistance to moisture. It is used to make garden furniture, such as terraces, poles, floors or small bridges.

BIRCH

Birch is a white to light grey wood with a fine grain. It is soft, easy to work with for creative projects. It brings a sense of harmony to the interior. It is suitable for furniture, cladding, art projects and carving projects.

POPLAR

Poplar is an airy wood that is easy to work with and flexible. It is suitable for wood-plank floors, cladding, light structures, plywood or small joinery products.

Coniferous wood species

EUROPEAN LARCH

A softer coniferous wood with a red, elegant grain. European larch is suitable for cladding, interior furniture as well as roof structures and wooden houses. In Tyrol and the Alps, it is mainly used for log cabins and mountain chalets, luxury hotel interiors and rustic floors.

SPRUCE

Spruce is a well-processed and stable wood species. It has a timeless appearance and harmonizes with the interior and exterior. It is used for log cabins, wooden buildings, cladding and decorative elements.

PINE

A strong, distinctive wood with a resinous grain in goldish shades. Pine is strong, yet flexible, ideal for projects that combine durability and aesthetics. It is used for trusses, supporting structures, rustic log cabins and cottages, for furniture, cladding, floors and stairs.

We buy only what we need

In our company, we believe that every trunk has its own story. That is why we carefully care for each round timber from the moment we select it in the forest to the moment it reaches you – our customers. We purchase round timber throughout the Slovak Republic. Selection, strict and selective

We do not buy ends of trunks with rot, nor parts with excessive knots. We prefer to pay more to get exactly what we need – a clean, straight, healthy trunk.

Long-standing supplier

We have been building long-term relationships with suppliers within the Slovak Republic since 2001. During this time, we have created a stable network of suppliers of quality round timber.

Slovak round timber

At VIERI, we operate mainly in central and western Slovakia. We purchase round timber from Čadca to Bratislava, from the Morava River to Banská Bystrica.

Our selective approach to purchasing quality raw materials brings results. Each type of wood has a certificate of origin of the wood and is ready for further processing. Customers return to us because we supply wood that is easy to process and guaranteed to last. We use our own forestry truck to transport the round timber. We can transport mixed loads of woody species at once, which allows us to respond more flexibly to your requirements. We then sort and process the round timber in our premises.

We process the round timber to standard dimensions

Dovezenú guľatinu skladujeme vonku na dvore. Je to pre ňu prospešné, pretože čím má vyššiu vlhkosť, tým sa bude lepšie spracovávať. Teplo by mohlo spôsobiť vznik trhlín v dreve. Guľatinu skracujeme na štandardné dĺžky podľa priania zákazníkov. Každý kus guľatiny, ktorý k nám do areálu v Ilave dorazí, najskôr roztriedia skúsení manipulanti. Zabezpečia, aby sa každý kmeň spracoval podľa kvality a využiteľnosti. Na efektívnu manipuláciu a prenos guľatiny priamo do píly používame nakladače.
